Coming from the food and beverage industry like so many of us involved in wine and getting the opportunity to cut her teeth at Domaine Serene, Jess Pierce has taken the necessary steps to hone in and focus on Riesling as her variety of choice.  Interning with Dr Loosen in the Mosel Valley of Germany, working a harvest at Selbach-Oster, and then returning to Brooks Winery for a full immersion in the world of Riesling, Jess hangs her hat on Riesling with her label Pierce Wines.  When she isn’t finding new and interesting ways to present different interpretations of her wine, she is in charge of sales, marketing and education for Walter Scott Wines where she has been their go to for support in all facets of the business since 2017.

Having begun her winemaking career at Leeuwin Estate in the Margaret River of Australia and eventually splitting time between the Yarra and Willamette Valley’s where she drew inspiration for her current project, Kathy McBride has honed her skills at some of the world’s best wineries.  Her time in the Willamette Valley has been primarily spent at Walter Scott where she has become an integral part of their winemaking team and also given her a chance to focus on the intricacies of Pinot Noir.  Her time in Australia allowed her to further explore Chardonnay and create her label Filigree & Stone.  Originally crafting wines in both continents, she has recently made the conscious decision to focus all her time and energy on the wines of Oregon.  

We are excited to have both Jess and Kathy in store to pour their wines as well as some of the Walter Scott they both helped get from vineyard to bottle.
